PLEA Assists St. Vincent de Paul

When it comes to charitable organizations, the St. Vincent de Paul  organization and food bank is one of the more well known.  Their food bank program provides for the needy and less fortunate not only in the Phoenix metropolitan area but statewide as well.

This morning, PLEA heard a call for assistance via the Mike Broomhead show on radio station 550 am KFYI.  Mike reported to his listeners that the large walk in refrigerator at the St. Vincent de Paul main facility on West Watkins Rd. had gone down.  Not only was there an immediate need to get the refrigerator back in operation but there was also a need to replace perishable foods that had to be disposed of due to the lack of refrigeration.

PLEA was honored to be able to step up and donate a check from PLEA Charities in the amount of $6000 to help this charitable organization that has done so much to help the less fortunate throughout our state.  Monies donated by PLEA will allow them to get their refrigerator repaired and also assist with the replacement of perishable food items lost due to heat exposure.

Monetary donations from our officers and citizens is what gives PLEA Charities the financial resources needed to impact our communities in a positive way by helping cops and community.
