Many officers have called into the PLEA office with questions about the mandated holiday furlough under the imposed terms and conditions of employment for FY 2015-2016.
Although the language is a bit confusing, officers are required to take 36 hours of unpaid holiday time for FY 2015-2016. Hourly employees are allowed to schedule furloughs in full or half day increments.
Employees are also allowed to write a check in lieu of taking furloughs if they so desire. Employees wishing to exercise this option should call fiscal at 602-262-6131 for more information.
