Our First Annual Phoenix Police Officers’ Ball Was A Success!

On Saturday, October 15, 2016, approximately 300 Phoenix Police Officers, including supervisors, Chief Joe Yahner, soon to be Chief Jeri Williams, other local law enforcement officers and officials, city leaders,community supporters, other distinguished guests and their significant others enjoyed an evening of elegance at the first annual Phoenix Police Officers’ Ball held at the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa.

The black tie event, emceed by KFYI radio host Mike Broomhead included a presentation and posting of the colors by Phoenix Police Department Police Explorer Post 2906, accompanied by Phoenix Police Department Honor Guard Bagpiper Officer Matt Johnson.  Retired Phoenix Police Officer James Holmes performed the National Anthem, followed by Phoenix Police Chaplain Robert Fesmire’s invocation.

After dinner, musical entertainment was provided by the Whiskey Tango AZ band and DJ Jeremy Collum, who is also a Phoenix Police Officer.

Speed painter Randall Hedden completed a painting of former Phoenix Cardinal Pat Tillman, which was auctioned off with the proceeds going to PLEA Charities.
