PLEA Charities BBQ Benefit Raises over 270 Thousand dollars

On Tuesday May 24, 2016 the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association hosted a BBQ Benefit fundraiser event in honor of fallen Phoenix Police Officer David Glasser #8144.

PLEA is happy to report that as of early afternoon on May 25, 2016, 270 thousand dollars in donations had been received through PLEA Charities with donations continuing to come in.

All donations will go directly to the Glasser family.

PLEA would like to extend special recognition to the following:

The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation for their generous donation of 100 thousand dollars.

In a statement Bob and Renee Parsons said, “The men and women who serve our community risk their lives on a daily basis. When tragedy strikes, we all have a responsibility to help in whatever way we can. Our hearts go out to Officer Glasser’s family.”

David Spade for his generous donation of ten thousand dollars.

The Phoenix Law Enforcement Association would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the law enforcement community at large, United Phoenix Fire Fighters Local 493, a very supportive valley media, and, of course, to the thousands of citizens that showed up to demonstrate their support and donate funds to support the Glasser family.

The combined and caring efforts of all involved made this a very successful fundraising endeavor that will assist greatly in ensuring the long term financial stability of the Glasser family.
