PLEA / PPSLA Jointly Call for Vote of No Confidence!

On Monday November 17, 2014 at 10:00 am, the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association (PLEA), and the Phoenix Police Sergeants and Lieutenants Association (PPSLA) held a joint press conference at the PLEA offices.

The purpose of the press conference was was to address mounting concerns over a crisis in leadership on the Phoenix PD brought about by a Chief with a tyrannical management style, plummeting morale, and the recent suicide of former Phoenix officer Craig Tiger who had been diagnosed with PTSD prior to being fired by Chief Daniel Garcia over a DUI on the one year anniversary of the date he was forced to use lethal force in the line of duty taking a citizens life.

Both Associations no longer have confidence in Chief Garcia’s ability to lead the Phoenix Police Department and are jointly calling for a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE within their respective organizations.

Ballots will be mailed to all Unit 4 (PLEA) and Unit 6 (PPSLA) members this coming week.
