Winners Announced in the John Hobbs Gun Raffle!

On Tuesday March 31, 2015 at 0930 hours, Cathy Hobbs, widow of Phoenix Detective John Hobbs Drew the five winning tickets for the John Hobbs gun raffle. Proceeds of this raffle went directly to the Hobbs family.  The winners were:

  • Hunting rifle with scope built on a Remington 700 action and chambered in 6.5mm Creedmoore won by Jimmy Yannakopoules
    (Gun donated Mr. James Corrnell)
  • Colt M-4 carbine chambered in .223 with nylon gun bag won by Mr. Steve Bacon.
    (Gun donated by: Mr. Shane McElroy with Phoenix Online advertising and Phoenix Det. David McElroy along with the PPD night detectives)
  • Browning Gold Hunter semi-auto 12 Ga. shotgun won by retired Phoenix Police Officer David Toledo
    (Gun donated by: Walmart located at 7575 W. Lower Buckeye Rd.)
  • Glock handgun won by Mr. Mike Guyer
    (Gun donated by: Glock firearms)
  • Glock handgun won by Ms. Colleen Harris
    (Gun donated by: Glock firearms)

PLEA would like to thank all of the persons listed above who generously donated firearms for this event to raise funds for the Hobbs family.  Many thanks also to all who participated either by purchasing tickets, getting the word out on this event and for those who sold tickets.  The combined efforts of all allowed the Hobbs family to receive just over $11,000.
