Voting for the 2011 election of PLEA officers officially ended at close of business on Friday, July 29th. On Saturday July 30th, this years election committee comprised of Officers Steve Mead and Victor Escoto met at the PLEA office for the tedious and time consuming task of validating ballots and tabulating the votes. The results of their efforts are as follows:
Just under 500 PLEA members cast ballots which is approximately 21% of the membership. Of the total ballots cast 16 were invalidated primarily for lack of names or serial numbers. Your new PLEA Board starting September 1st 2011 will consist of the following:
President: Joe Clure, Vice President: Ken Crane, Secretary: Franklin Marino, Treasurer: Will Buividas. All of the executive board members garnered in excess of 400 votes and Franklin Marino received the high count at 415.
Bill Galus, Jerry Gannon, Dave Kothe, Tom Tardy, Frank Smith, Toby Sexton and Tim Bairdi. Bill Galus and Jerry Gannon tied for the high vote count amongst the Board of Trustees garnering 324 votes each.
PLEA extends congratulations to the new Board and heartfelt thanks to those outgoing board members who have given much of their time over the last several years in service to the membership and the organization.
PLEA along with the election committee would like to thank each and every member who took the time to participate in this very important process. The input given by you plays a key role in determining the future direction of your Association.
