PLEA was informed by Asst. Chief Blake McClelland on Wednesday June 29, 2011 that officers working the 2011 MLB All Star event would be allowed to deviate from existing uniform policy for the duration of the event only and would be allowed to wear the PD approved baseball style headgear with the class “C” uniform. Additionally, officers working the event would also be authorized to used the Camelback Hydration packs from their departmentally issued PPE gear.
