Change of Direction

Interim Chief Yahner Informed PLEA that contrary to what was previously stated, the department will be conducting an internal investigation on Lt. Laurie Burgett of the HIKE unit.  This stems from potential misconduct allegations tied to an LLC named Money Drop Productions which listed Burgett as one of the Managers of the corporation.  The LLC was formed to profit from documentary/reality type films based on activities of the Hike Unit while she was overseeing the same unit.

PSB has, in the past, sustained allegations against rank and file officers for violating the AZPOST Code of Ethics.  It will be interesting to see whether or not the PSB Commander sees “Code of Ethics” violations with regard to Lt. Burgett’s conduct.
