On August 5, 2012, representatives from the Sheriff’s Memorial Fund presented the family of Daryl Raetz with a $40,000 check. Founded in 1998, the Sheriff’s Memorial Fund has since raised over $1 million and paid out approximately $600,000 to the families of fallen Arizona law enforcement officers.
For those of you who may not be aware of it, The Sheriff’s Memorial Fund is the group which works with Danny’s Family Car Wash to conduct benefit car washes any time a first responder is killed in the line of duty.
