As of close of business on Friday, July 29th, voting for the 2011 PLEA Board closed. On Saturday, July 30th, the PLEA Election Committee comprised of Officers Steve Mead and Victor Escoto began the tedious and time consuming process of validating and tabulating the election ballots. The results of their efforts are as follows:
Just under 500 ballots were cast by the membership and aproximately 16 of those were invalidated due to no names and or voting for too many candidates. This equates to a participation rate of approximately 22%.
The following newly elected PLEA Board members will officially take office effective September 1st, 2011.
President: Joe Clure, Vice President: Ken Crane, Secretary: Franklin Marino, Treasurer: Will Buividas. All four of the Executive Board Members received in excess of 400 votes with Franklin Marino garnering the highest amount with 415 votes.
Trustees:
The newly elected Trustees are as follows: Bill Galus, Jerry Gannon, Dave Kothe, Tom Tardy, Frank Smith, Toby Sexton and Tim Baiardi. Bill Galus and Jerry Gannon tied for the high vote count amongst the Trustees garnering 324 votes each.
Plea would like to extend congratulations to the newly elected Board and also offer thanks to those outgoing Board members who have given much of their time in service to not only the membership but to the organization as well.
PLEA and the Election Committee would also like to thank those members who took the time to participate in this very important process. Your votes, voice and input are of great value in formulating the future direction of your Association.
