As a general rule, PLEA sees little value in anonymous postings – no name, no print. On Thursday, April 29th, the following letter was hand-carried to PLEA by a mid-level police manager. The manager came with a concern and a request. The concern was fear of retaliation. The request was to post a missive. Because the document was handcarried by a manager for the author and retaliation is real, PLEA believes these unique circumstances lend credibility and therefore was appropriate to post. It is hoped that the author’s anonymity will prevent them from being assigned as the Duty Commander’s driver.
