Another Successful Benefit Event

On Thursday, February 2, 2012, PLEA, in partnership with the Central City Precinct, 51K, and 52K Squads, hosted a benefit raffle/barbecue for Officer Anthony “Tony” Daley, 9190, who was shot and critically injured in the line of duty on November 26, 2011.  Over $19,000 was raised through combined efforts of Officers, Sergeants, and Civilian Staff in every precinct, Communications, The Airport Bureau, North Resource Bureau, The Air Unit, and the Academy.

A special thanks goes out to Sergeant Brian Bachorski, 51K, and Sergeant Jared Lowe, 52K, for helping coordinate the event and putting time in on the grill.  PLEA would also like to thank Phoenix Police Explorer Post 2906 for helping to staff the event and take care of various tasks including setup, cleanup, and teardown.  Of course, without participation from members of the community, this event would not have been as successful as it was and we thank everyone who purchased tickets, attended, or participated in some way.
