On Wednesday night, February 10, 2010, the first of many community meetings was held at Carl Hayden High School. Rank and file Phoenix Police Officers and supportive citizens showed up in force voicing their concerns against a reduction of sworn officers and firefighters. Thanks to all the members and citizens who wore RED shirts. You were noticed by City Management and City Council members who were in attendance. PLEA asks that all members continue to attend as many of these community meetings as possible and to wear RED shirts. We have tremendous public support. Many people spoke and expressed dissatisfaction with regard to cutting police services to the community and ENTIRE room erupted in applause each time. Thanks to all who took time out of their personal schedules to show up and voice their support.
