On Wednesday, April 4th, PLEA leadership presented the case for fully restoring the 3.2% wage concession and adding 4% in the second year of the contract before an independent arbitrator. Testimony on behalf of police officers was heard from Will Buividas, PLEA Treasurer and Chief Contract Negotiator, along with testimony from other experts, including Ron York, a nationally respected economist, and former Mayor Phil Gordon who testified on PLEA’s behalf.
PLEA expects to receive the arbitrators report early next week and will keep the membership posted.
