The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) National Council 118 (AFL-CIO) acting on behalf of approx. 7000 officers and employees from the ICE Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), cast a unanimous “Vote of No Confidence in the Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), John Morton, and the Assistant Director of ICE Office of Detention and Policy and Planning (ODPP), Phyllis Coven. Union officials claim that the American public has been misled by agency administrators with regard to the effectiveness of criminal enforcement programs, pushing for amnesty for political reasons as well as numerous other reasons which led to the vote.
