PLEA provided representation to members who were the focus of the Attorney General townhome off-duty investigation. 24 of the sworn personnel on the list have had their off-duty privileges reinstated. PLEA met with the Attorney General’s office yesterday expressing concern over the quality and the motives behind this investigation – an investigation that seriously disrupted the lives and careers of our members and demonstrated a flawed understanding by AG investigators of basic federal labor law and PPD off-duty work policies. PLEA agrees with Police Chief Jack Harris that the AG’s office under Mr. Goddard “overstated” and “oversold” their case to the Phoenix Police Department.
