The City Managers office in partnership with Community Partner Ann Malone and PLEA continue to work together to support the PPD Explorer program. Assistant City Manager Ed Zuercher in a recent meeting, signed a travel autorization for the explorers to take a summer trip to California (the explorers earned the money necessary to pay for the trip).
Two of the PPD Explorers have been selected to attend federally sponsored training academies specifically geared toward providing training for Explorers on a national level. PPD Explorer Zoe Anaya was granted a slot to the FBIs prestigious explorer training program and PPD Explorer Andres Godinez was granted a slot to attend the prestigious DEA explorer training program.
