On Friday morning, PLEA board members Joe Clure, Dave Kothe and Mark Spencer along with PLEA legislative liaison Dr. Levi Bolton met with Arizona Congressman David Schweikert and Jesse Hernandez (Executive Director of the Arizona Latino Republican Association). Congressman Schweikert shared with us the dire straits of the federal budget and the crisis of controlling federal spending. Congressman Schweikert also communicated to us that he was aware of the OIG investigation regarding the allegation of false kidnapping statistics supplied by Phoenix Police management and that he would be closely monitoring the situation.
