The Indian School Corridor Citywide Coalition comprised of almost 550 businesses and over 19,000 households recently sent a letter to Representative Sam Crump in support of pending ‘Just Cause’ legislation. If passed, this legislation would give every peace officer in the state equal protection with regard to disciplinary procedures and job terminations.
The Indian School Citywide Coalition has been strong advocates and partners of local law enforcement since their inception. Their support on this very important piece of legislation is greatly appreciated. As of June 26, 2009, the just cause bill was passed out of committee by a vote of 6-1.
