Synopsis
As the spearhead of the CIA’s war on terror, CIA agent Joe tries to balance her personal and professional life. Real military advisors helped create more authentic weapons handling, house clearing, positioning, squad-based activities etc… Best new show, after Jack Ryan’s disappointing season 4 and overall lackluster performances, this one felt much better in every way.
Great acting by everyone
It looks really well done and the action/fight scenes look great. In my opinion, most of the criticism of this series in the comments section boils down to it being unrealistic because of the whole female hosts thing, and as a man, I don’t mind a good female-led action show. It’s an original IP that doesn’t change the male lead to a female.
It needs to be more comprehensive so they can create new, more intense action
I also haven’t seen any red flags so far that made every single man seem incompetent or anything like that. Also, I initially thought it was going to be more of an action-packed, mindless show, but then they incorporated a little bit into the family, and I usually cringe at that, but I didn’t like what they were doing there. The criticism is that the plot of this particular crew’s activities severely limits the story and could destroy it as the season’s plot/villain progresses.
We’ll see how great Morgan Freeman brings to the show
Home quickly, otherwise it runs the risk of becoming too episodic like the Blacklist. PS Nicole Kidman’s role is incredibly small and unfulfilling so far, and it could have been taken by anyone else… But from what I’ve seen so far, the show can stand on its own with Zaldana without another A-lister.
It’s entertaining even without the history channel that some commenters prefer
TLDR Generally cautiously optimistic, but I like what I’m seeing so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done.
