The RECAP was the official news magazine of the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association since 1976. Just like the name suggests, it “RECAPS” the previous month’s events and topics of interest. Each issue contains articles, and interesting facts from around the department, city, state and even the nation. In short, it is anything that could be of interest or benefit to PLEA members. In March 2013, the RECAP transitioned to a new, bolder, and more professional publication produced by California-based 911MEDIA. It has been renamed the Phoenix Law Enforcer and one major difference is the presence of advertising. This will help defray expenses and produce a higher quality publication for our members, while keeping mailing and production costs about the same as what we have paid. PLEA would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to graphic designer Bill Steele, who has worked tirelessly for the past seven years to bring a quality product to the table.
